Harvest Moon & Fall Decorating

The full moon of September is known as the Harvest Moon and it is my favorite!  This year, we walked down to the beach to bask in her glorious light.

As we sat on the beach and the moon continued to rise and get ever brighter, Chris noticed we were actually casting shadows on the sand!  How cool is that?!?

We also spent the weekend getting some of our outdoor fall & Halloween decor displayed.  Just like the everyday decorating inside the cottage, we enjoyed finding new ways to set up for our favorite holiday!!

More pumpkins to be added...plus a broom (or 2) to my Witch Parking.

Inside decorating to be determined!  We should be camping at our friends' farm this weekend and then, on the 13th, we head to South Bend to join in the revelry and experience of a Fighting Irish football game!  Yay!!!  We also have our Halloween costumes to perfect, mine requires more than Chris's this year only b/c he is going to bring back Adam Ant from my birthday party.  A few other fun things will be thrown in the mix of Fall Festivities: seeing "Frankenweenie", roller skating with my LAB ninjas at the Illiana Derby Dames Halloween Skate Party and, of course, more nature hikes, new & old recipes and a bonfire either at our place or on the beach!!!!
