Realtor, GNO and Yard Sale

Quite a filled weekend for me.  Beginning on Thursday, we did some cleaning and straightening of the house in anticipation of meeting with a realtor on Friday afternoon.  REALLY like her and cannot wait to get the paperwork completed and our home on the website.  I emailed her photo albums of both the inside and the outside of Harvest Moon House.  I am so glad I took pictures during the summer to show our yard in all of its splendor!  The only thing she wants us to work on is our garage.  We have always used it as a shed (we park in our long driveway).  One of the springs for the garage door broke earlier this year (or was it really last year?!) and it needs to be replaced.  Chris said he can do it (did the other side a few years ago), but had hoped not to need to do it.  We also have to do a little touching up of the paint ~~ just the front and one side.  The side will require a minimal amount of scraping where the paint is peeling.  We are just gonna do a "quick & dirty" job of it after we return from vacation.  (Oh, have I forgotten to mention that we leave on Friday for a week in New Orleans?!  Yeah!!!)

Saturday nite, I spent with the girls from our "gang."  We chilled and listened to our favorite local band, The UNiT.  They weren't as crazy and brash as the first time I saw them, but I believe they aren't allowed to do their whole "act" at certain bars!  That's unfortunate ~~ cuz they are outrageous!!!  We did get the lead singer standing on our table and pouring a drink from the pitcher into the mouth of one of the ladies joining our gaggle of gals!

Beth, Marcy, Caroline & Jen (missing Jill cuz she is taking this awesome pic)

Sunday, we had our final yard sale.  Didn't do too bad overall.  We made some deals yesterday b/c we wanted to make, at least, a little money rather than just giving it over to Goodwill.  (Not to mention the pain of lugging it to Goodwill to begin with!!)  Our cars are packed with the "leftovers" and we are both making donations today.  It is nice to have alot of the garage cleaned out, too!!!

Yard work and housework was on the agenda, as usual.  Chris got some free perennials on Wednesday and he planted them all around the yard on Sunday.  We aren't sure what most of them are (and we hope not to see them when they bloom next year b/c we want to have sold the house by then and, if possible, be living in Colorado, of course), but a freebie is a freebie!!!  Always nice to have new plants and flowers to fill in any gaps and add pop & color!!!  A lot of our landscaping started from family members giving us their extras ~~ then, as things have grown & thrived, Chris has transplanted and given away.  It is the circle of (plant) life!  :)

Add in a much-needed hair cut, meeting up with our friend who will watch the cats while we are on vacation and Chris coloring my hair ~~ I think I put almost every minute of the weekend to good use!
